A Furry What?

Posted by: Lizzie

Aiden learned a song about a panda and it’s sung to the tune of “You Are My Sunshine”:

I am a Panda

A furry Panda

I live in China

And eat bamboo

It is a thick grass

That grows in my land

and it’s not that easy to chew

Cute, right?

Well.  Simon has tried and tried to sing this song, and it has gone through several revision processes.  When he first adapted it into his three-year-old speak, the song went something like this:

A panda

A panda

A furry china

A FURRY CHINAAAAAAAA

Since Jamie is twelve and I am also of a lower level of maturity, we have had several belly laughs over the panda song.  This morning, before taking the boys to school, Jamie announced Simon’s latest interpretation.  He no longer sings about “a furry china.”  The song is now about “a furry pan-china.”
