bloody hell
Posted by: LizzieWe’ve had Expanded Basic Cable now for an hour and I’ve already turned off the TV in disgust. I was hanging out in my room just to see what else was on besides “The Backyardigans” and I flipped it to “Bringing Home Baby.” I’ve never, ever seen an episode of this but have heard about it on some of the parenting forums. Now I know why people say they can’t watch it.
First, they went to the hospital to pick up the baby cause he had been in the NICU after a complicated c-section.
“I thought we were just going for a feeding and circumcision, but then we got to bring him home!” says the mom. She says this like she was going to the grocery store for bread and wound up with a great deal on ground beef.
Then they brought him home and she sat down to feed him:
“I’m bottlefeeding for this session because I’m still in a lot of pain and I can’t deal with it right now.”
Then the next day:
“I decided not to breastfeed once we got home from the hospital. While he was in the NICU, I did pump to give him the the colostrum and the antibodies. When we got home, though, I decided I couldn’t nurse cause it hurt too damn much.”
(Obviously, I’m paraphrasing)
But still. What the hell? She just gave up after one day. I turned the TV off after that.
Then, there’s the baby wipes commercial with the baby who’s dribbling formula all over the place. LOVELY!
I still haven’t figured out how to work the V-chip. We don’t have the original remote that came with the television cause it broke a long time ago. The universal remote has done its job, but I can’t get it to block programs yet. Too bad it can’t block commercials—Aiden’s already like, “We need that!”
Ok, I think Simon finally took the dump he’s been trying for since yesterday.
I’m outie 5000.
