Bluets and Heartsease
Posted by: LizzieMonday, while Corey was helping me get the diapers off the clothesline, he asked me what the name of the tiny purple flowers were that grow in our field. They’re everywhere and I’ve never known what they’re called. So, I thought we’d look it up on the internet.
Easier said than done!
I finally gave up and went to the library, grabbed a field guide and we now know that we have bluets all over our field!
I went outside this morning to get a better specimen for our wildflower identification project and came across another mystery flower which turned out to be a cute little Johnny Jump Up, aka, Heartsease. It’s so pretty!
Since I don’t have a decent macro setting on my camera, I can’t show you these little pretties. You can google images of these lovely flowers if you feel you must know what we’re enjoying right now.
