Child Passenger Safety Week

I cannot stress enough the importance of this campaign and I really hope that all of you take a look at this information.  It may save your child’s life in the event of a car crash.

Did you know that 3 out of 4 carseats are not installed as they should be, putting children at risk?

This Saturday is “Seat Check Saturday,” and NHTSA is asking all parents using a child safety seat to have their installation checked at one of the centers available across the country. Please visit the LATCH website and find out more information on how to properly install your car seats, what type of car seat your child should be using, and more.

There are some excellent videos you can watch, as well as a place to find out where to get your car seats inspected. You can also use the website to share these important resources with your friends and family through facebook, twitter, and other social media.

Thanks for sharing this! We are having a baby in the next few weeks and haven’t been able to find a place to get our car seat inspected…Unfortunately it looks like the only participating station in Texas is in Dallas but is only open 2 hours on Saturday right when we have a required tour of our birth center…Anyone know of any other places we could go to get the seat inspected on a weekend? Weekdays are pretty much out for us since we both work.
