Don’t yell at me.
Posted by: LizzieBut! But! I’m halfway done with the NEW pair that I’m knitting from Knitty’s Cargo pattern (seen here). These are going to be even cuter and way better because there are no seams. I’m getting nervous as I approach the hip portion of the pattern, but I think I’ll be able to handle it. The only thing that may delay the finishing of the longies, though, is the arrival of my Addi 16″ circular from ebay. I had to order one for the pattern since the only 16″ circular in my possession is a size 10. I may try to do some of it on the double-pointed needles just to see how far I can get.
My next project should definitely be a needle roll. I have needles everywhere! And maybe a knitting tote. Not that I actually take my knitting anywhere, but should I decide to one day, what better way to carry my stuff?
Here’s a funny story:
Last night I mentioned to Jamie that I want to buy some organic homespun wool yarn from a WAHM the next time I buy yarn. He thought it was a great idea, you know, to support a fellow WAHM. Then we started talking about something else & he said that when Algebra the Mule dies, he thought maybe we could get some sheep & I could spin my own wool.
I looked at him and said, “You think I’m obsessed with knitting now? The last thing I want to do is obsess about spinning my own yarn! No thanks!”
And that was that. I don’t think I would like to take care of sheep, much less deal with shearing & spinning. I have enough to do around here as it is!
