I traded an extra circular needle I had for some handspun corriedale. I LOVE how thick and soft this wool is–I think it will make an excellent nighttime soaker.

As for the pattern, I’ve been making adjustments and adapting several different patterns into my own. I don’t care for the waistband in the LTK Picky Pants pattern, so I used one from a free pattern. It worked out ok, but I ended up with an extra eyelet; I’ll have to rethink my ribbing. As for the gusset, I use the general idea from the LTK pattern, but I don’t like the increase stitch suggested. I think, too, that I’d like to make the gusset a little wider so there isn’t so much stretching in the crotch area. Watching Simon crawl around, I see that his other shorties are getting stretched out in the gusset.
