FeelGood Project: September 1 – December 1, 2009

If you knit (OR crochet hats) or know someone who does, Warming Families (www.warmingfamilies.com) needs you! We cannot do this alone!

We have partnered with Lands’ End to create 25,000 hats for the homeless and those in need across the USA from Sept till Dec 31st 2009 and we need a lot of help from knitters across America!

For more info on our Hat Challenge go here:
http://www.freewebs.com/warmingfamilies/hatchallengeanyone.htm

There are chapters all across the country and you can find those by clicking on the links on the left hand side of that page. We need more chapters too if anyone is interested in doing that long term?  It’s free and fun!

If you need hat patterns, here are some great resources:

http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/hats.php
http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/hats.html

You can also make hats in your own communities and donate them to local shelters, food banks, soup kitchens etc, where they won’t be sold but will be handed to those who need a little comfort and warmth.  If you choose that option, please be sure to email our fearless leader Kaye Rogers (uswarmingfamilies@yahoo.com) with your hat counts!  Let’s make this a warmer winter for thousands!
