Going Home
Posted by: Lizzie“We don’t take kindly to babies having fevers.”
In a baby as young as Timothy, it’s standard procedure to run all sorts of uncomfortable, painful tests when there is fever present. We spent the entire afternoon on Saturday at Doctor’s Hospital where the kind but otherwise incapable ER staff tried unsuccessfully to place an IV and do a lumbar puncture. If you didn’t know, “lumbar puncture” is the secret code for “spinal tap.” In the end, our pediatrician transferred us to MCG, known for its world-class Children’s Medical Center.
For the past two days, we’ve been waiting on the culture from his spinal. It was negative. We are so, so grateful. Timothy hasn’t had any more fever and now we are home.
Thanks so much for all your well-wishes. They were greatly appreciated.
P.S. I’ll be back later today with the winner of the Florastor giveaway and another sweet giveaway!
