Posted by: LizzieHow the heck did it get to be Wednesday so fast? This week seems to be zooming by. Last Wednesday, I was wondering the same thing and now it’s another Wednesday. Holy moly, rolly polly.
It’s not even 10:00 and I’ve already emptied and loaded the dishwasher, started diaper-washing, picked up the living room, put some of the boys’ things away, and some other random crap around the house. I need to remember to change sheets today.
The house doesn’t smell as funny today because Jamie’s been burning sage. We haven’t needed the air conditioning since Monday, which is totally awesome for the bank account. Plus it’s all rainy and cool today and it feels really nice when the breeze blows through the windows.
I’m thinking of taking down the curtains in the living room. We have valances and lace scrims, so I’ll leave those up, but I think the room would be a lot brighter without the dark blue curtains.
I’ve been so cranky lately. Well, I’m only cranky when Jamie comes home and I don’t know what to cook for dinner. Then I have to wait even longer to make something and that makes me more hungry and more cranky. I try snacking during the day, but it doesn’t help. Probably because we don’t have enough healthy snacks. We need to do some serious grocery shopping.
The library finally has the two books I put on hold, so I need to go get those soon. Right now I’m reading Diary, but I only get a couple pages in before I start falling asleep. Perhaps I should stop reading in bed? I’ll never get anything read.
Simon has his checkup tomorrow. I get to find out how gigantic he’s gotten. Most everyone is surprised when I tell them he’s four months old. And he still looks like an old man because he’s mostly bald with a little patch on the back of his head. I mean, there’s hair, but it’s so light and fine that you can’t tell he has any unless you hold him in the right light.
Remind me to take a shower at some point today.
