No more cord stump!
Posted by: LizzieI got my kit yesterday! This also means I got my Moby Wrap! The baby is happily napping in it right now. It was so incredibly easy to put on! I tried it last night for the first time, but the baby wasn’t in the mood to be worn and I only got to try it for a second. He protested for a minute this morning when I put him in, but then fell right to sleep. I think he was complaining because it wasn’t the sling I’ve been wearing him in. It seems he’s more comfortable in this, though. I know I certainly am. Now I can’t wait to go somewhere so I can wear him around!
I also love the nursing necklace that came in the kit. He hasn’t reached the phase where he’s grabbing at me while he’s nursing, but I’m sure the baby will love it when he does. Either way, it’s a really pretty necklace.
This morning, we had almost everyone in the bed. It seems the older boys take turns climbing into bed with us in the middle of the night. It was ds2′s turn today. DH took a picture of us that I’m definitely not going to post. I hate it when he takes pictures of me sleeping! I’m usually the picture-taker around here.
Oh! Last night was the baby’s first tub bath. His cord stump FINALLY fell off on Monday, so I’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to put him in the bath. Of course, I needed dh around to man the camera while I bathed him. He was only terrified when I put the washcloth on his head. He was easy to calm, though. DS1 hated baths up until he was 3. He still gets antsy when we wash his hair, but he doesn’t scream and cry like we’re torturing him.
I have to get busy on the Father’s Day Project. DH went to work early today, which means he’ll be home around 3:30. I’ve got time.
