Potty Training Disaster
Posted by: LizzieI keep waking up with a wad of crud on my vocal cords. I was convinced this was a cold, but maybe it is allergies afterall. I’ll spare you the details involving the color of my mucus, etc.
Yesterday ended up being a virtual disaster with the potty training. After I got off the computer, I had to clean not one, but two pairs of poopy underwear. You’d think he would have learned how gross it was, but no. Then after dinner, he did it again. I think part of it was that he had so much corn the other day that he no longer had complete control of his bowels. I can thank my in-laws for that (we went to their house after we had dinner, but they were still eating–he ended up eating almost an entire ear of corn over there).
We had an adventure to the grocery store after dinner. The baby managed to be cool most of the way there, but it wasn’t a problem with dh driving. He was a little fussy in the store at first, but fell asleep in the wrap eventually. I got more funny looks than anything. Really, I wasn’t expecting anyone in the kuntry Food Lion to be interested in how I was carrying my baby. One of the checkout girls said it was “cute,” but that was the end of the conversation.
I made my first sale! A girl from the church choir is buying one of the beeswax pillars. I’ll have to ask her how it helps with her allergies after she’s had it for a while.
Man, my living room is a MESS. I hate to think what it’s going to be like when the baby starts crawling! It may actually be cleaner. Who knows?
