Since I seem to have all this time on my hands while I recover from surgery, I have taken to stalking a couple of nail blogs to get ideas for my nails other than the stickers and rhinestones I’ve been using.  The other day I tried my hand at gradient using purples but it started chipping after a couple days.  So I decided yesterday to do an experiment in sponging not two but three different colors together!  Jamie came in after applying my base coat and was nearly blinded by the brightness of the color.  I had to tell him to just wait–this was going to be awesome.

For the colors, I chose Sinful Colors in Neon Melon, Happy Ending, and Call You Later.  I had to do some serious color adjustment on these photos so you could see how bright that Neon really is.  This picture is pretty true to the colors in the bottle and on my nails.  So I used Neon Melon as my base color then sponged on Happy Ending to blend almost to the nail bed.  After that I sponged Call You Later which is probably my favorite glitter polish.  It’s full of gorgeous green and gold pieces of different sizes.  SO much fun.  Then I added a few rhinestones for a little extra bling.

Clean up was a pain and I still have some picking to do around the edges of  some of the nails.  I did the best I could with Q-tips right after I was done, though.  Cause that glitter really did a number and it was everywhere.
