We got our Christmas washer yesterday!!! I have seriously never been more excited to do laundry. I washed all the socks in one load! And they actually look cleaner than the dirty socks! Go figure! I can’t stop using exclamation points! I peeked at the wash water half-way through the socks and was grossed out by the dirtiness. And yet, it made me very happy to see how clean the socks were going to be.

And don’t get me started about the extra rinse cycle. Diaper washing isn’t nearly as much a chore anymore. Because I don’t have to run back and forth for a second rinse. Plus, I can set the washer for “Super Wash” and know that the diapers really will come clean.

And there’s a “Hand wash” cycle!! I’m going to test some sweaters in it that I don’t like and see how they come out. It’s supposedly a cycle with gentle agitation & frequent soaks. According to the manual anyway.

I didn’t think I would write an entire entry about a washing machine. I’m such a dork.

In music news, I feel 200% better about my Handel aria for Christmas Eve. After working with Sandra yesterday & running it with orchestra, I couldn’t be happier. Hey, I just found Sandra’s profile on imdb! Cool! There are several websites that mention her name. I’m so lucky to know her!

I printed out these gift tags today because they are funny and I think I can probably use all of them on my gifts this year. We are also using paper grocery bags for wrapping paper. The boys are stamping them with red & green christmas trees & snowflakes. Jamie carved the stamps from wine corks. I got the idea here.

I’m so glad it’s raining today…really, I am.
