Laundry Woes
Posted by: LizzieI killed my dryer. I’m fairly positive that the heating element needs to be replaced, so I am now finding places in the house to hang my laundry. I wouldn’t be so upset, but it’s cold and rainy outside. Using the clothesline is out of the question! I could go over to my MIL’s house and use her dryer, but I’m lazy and would rather just hang the clothes on my drying rack and save some energy. Is that lazy? Now that I think about it, I think I’m doing the environment a favor this week. I mean, I would have to wash a bunch of clothes, put them wet into the laundry basket, pack the kids into the van and drive over there to use her dryer. I think that’s a heck of a lot more wasteful than hanging my clothes.
It’s not just the dryer that is causing my laundry woes.
We are almost out of Charlie’s Soap and I didn’t budget it this month. We accidentally bought some Sun “Clean and Fresh” instead of “Free and Clear” and I’m dealing with the sickening smell of perfumy laundry detergent. Last night, I had a migraine and the smell of Sun was NOT helping. We have enough Charlie’s for a couple loads of diapers, so thankfully, the diapers will not smell of Sun.
I have to remind Jamie to call his uncle to come look at the dryer. I really hope he can fix it because I do not want a new dryer for Christmas.
