I’ve never been able to keep Lucy out of the laundry baskets.  She doesn’t get in the ones in the laundry room that are filled with stinky boy socks.  No, she likes to get in the ones with the freshly laundered towels and neatly folded shirts.

After some thought about how to solve this problem, I came up with an ingenius solution.  I took the most broken of our well-loved laundry baskets, filled it with the collection of kitty snuggles I’ve been knitting for charity (I’ll wash them before donating), and put the basket in her favorite napping spot behind the rocking chair.  It took a week of her snubbing my contribution to her laziness before she decided to get in there and discover how clothes-like those little knitted blankies can really be.

I WIN.
