new futon
Posted by: LizzieOur new futon arrived last week. I put it together myself!
The boys have been doing their part to break it in, so to speak.
The new futon is now blessed with chocolate pudding and dirt from their shoes. The boys like to climb out of bed in the middle of the night to go sleep on it, but that is now going to stop. Why? Because one of them peed on it.
I knew it was a risk getting new furniture while the boys are still young, but I really didn’t expect any of them to pee on said new furniture.
Whatever, though. I cleaned it the best I could with water and I rubbed some borax on the spot.
I keep thinking that I have plans today, but I can’t for the life of me remember what they are. Maybe I don’t have plans. I know that I have plans for every day this week. Tuesday is LLL and then Tamara’s house. I have to help her go through some clothes for the Mothers of Multiples yard sale. Wednesday is church night, Thursday evening I have a CM unit meeting, and Friday is something can’t remember off the top of my head. Saturday is a baby shower in the afternoon and a wedding at night (two unrelated events). March is freaking busy, man!
Remember the new turtle I saw? Well…Jamie spotted ANOTHER even SMALLER baby turtle! Here’s my theory: one of my turtles mated with the turtle that was already in there. The other turtle is small, which means it’s most likely a male. You get the picture. Now Two Turtle Pond is home to four turtles. Jamie is looking forward to catching one of the giant catfish in our pond. It’s funny because every time we go down there to throw bread crumbs to the turtles, one of the catfish lolls up to pick on the turtle and eat the bread. Mean old catfish. WE WILL EAT YOU FOR DINNER. Seriously. Fresh catfish is freaking delicious. It helps to have a nice, fresh, spring-fed pond to raise them in. Those catfish are so stupid, though, that it won’t be much work to catch them.
Enough about fishing.
My plans this morning are to go to the post office (I remembered). I have to mail the custom bunny hat and a book for paperbackswap. This’ll be my first mailing for that, and I had forgotten I even signed up for it. Bookmooch was more exciting a prospect.
Tonight, we’re eating dinner with Jamie’s mom: lasagne!
