rock it
Posted by: LizzieJamie and I thought we were rock stars last night and stayed up till 2 in the morning. Thank goodness we weren’t drinking because I would probably feel even worse than I do. I’m so tired!
Anyway.
I need to make a mental note to buy some T-pins from the craft store next time I go. And I need to make or obtain a new pincushion. The one that I have is my mom’s old tomato pinchushion. The fabric is finally dry-rotting and I don’t want sawdust to get everywhere!
So we’re probably going to get a new couch as our Valentine’s Day gift to one another. Jamie and I started this tradition last year of getting ourselves a gift for Valentine’s Day instead of trying to get each other separate gifts. Last year we got a hammock.
The thing is, I would love to get an organic/fair-trade/eco-friendly couch but they are SO EXPENSIVE!! Like. $6000. We sure as hell don’t have that kind of money and I’m trying not to feel guilty about getting a couch from a regular old furniture store. So unless someone can point me in the direction of a living room sofa that is eco-friendly AND under $200…we’ll have to put up with a chemical-laden couch until we strike it rich.
I gave away a bazillion plants this weekend. Yesterday I had to literally slice the main mama spider plant away from all its rooted babies. There was barely any soil left in the pot because there were so many roots! Now that there is only one plant in the pot now, it looks a lot happier. By the time I get all the extra plants out of the way, I will finally be free of all extraneous spider plants!
Hey I need a good book to read. I just got done with a Nora Roberts book that my sister sent from Texas. Normally, I’m not a romance or mystery or even a Bestseller reader, so I slowly labored through it. When I was done, I started into the other book that she sent. It’s called Something Blue. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I hate the book. I can’t even finish it. The only word I can find that woudl describe it is CONTRIVED.
Simon’s awake. Time to go.
