It’s been a while since I’ve participated in Small Talk Six, and since I’m obviously in need of a bloggy pick-me-up, maybe this will help.

Today’s topic is “6 things on your wishlist this year.” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . .

My list is going to consist of things on my wishlist that I’m absolutely certain I won’t be getting, but they’re on my list anyway.

1. A Pentax DSLR–my K1000 is sitting sullenly in my living room shelf because I use it maybe twice a year.  I live 30 miles from a Wolf Camera, so getting film developed requires a lot of planning and dollars.  While I love photography and wish I had the time and equipment to develop my own photographs, a DSLR is the more practical alternative until my children grow up and move out.
2. xBox 360–only to play the new Halo game.  Pathetic, I know.  But I’m a Halo junkie.  It is true.
3. Hardwood floors–I’m so sick of carpet.  C’mon, orange cat plus blue carpet = GROSS.
4. For Verizon to just get the iPhone already–’nuff said.
5. Maid service for a year.
6. The house next door–it once belonged to Jamie’s great grandfather, so we’d love to get it back in the family.
