Small Talk Six: Greeny Green Green
Posted by: LizzieI’m sitting here waiting on a friend to come over. She just got a whole bunch of stuff to scrapbook her trip to France and we’re going to get our crop on. So, to pass the time, I’ll do the Small Talk Six again! This week, we’re asked to blog six things we love that are green. Should be easy enough, right? Here goes…
1. Turtles! I love, love, love turtles with all my heart.
2. Artichokes. My favorite way to eat an artichoke is steamed, and I dip the leaves in salad dressing or mayonnaise (a strange habit I picked up from my father that I’m actually not ashamed of).

3. Avocados. I like them pretty much any way: in sushi, on sandwiches, or smashed up into guacamole. Heck, sometimes I just peel them, slice them up and sprinkle with salt. YUM.

4. Green orchids. I’ve had one for years that simply won’t rebloom. At least I can admire other people’s orchids.

6. Green Corelle & Pyrex dishes. I love this butter dish. There’s also a small green casserole that matches but it’s in the sink right now. You don’t want to see it.

I love turtles too. I use to have one, George III. He died when I was 7 months pregnant with my daughter. I was so sad. He drowned, believe it or not!

I have the small green casserole that matches that. I got it at a garage sale. i wish I had the butter dish. Great one. I also love artichoke hearts.

Oh, Artichokes and Avocados! We had artichokes the other night, delish! Another great and easy way to enjoy avocados is to slice in half, pour in balsamic vinegar, eat with a spoon. mmmmh.
