So many milestones, so little time

Posted by: Lizzie

It’s always bittersweet when these babies of mine go growing all fast and stuff.  Wasn’t I just complaining a few months ago that Timothy had no teeth?  Well, now he’s got those two snaggly bottom teeth, is ready and willing to eat anything we put in front of him, and just today started sitting up without using his hands for support.  And shall I mention the pulling up he’s doing while we’re trying to get him to take a nap?  He likes to climb us, and even gets up to his feet.

I’m not ready for a toddler!  Someone tell the sands of time to slow down just a little bit.  I want to savor these moments before Timothy is old enough to make jokes about balls and shave his beard.

I visited your blog cause of Tracy’s book (I already have a copy), but I love this post and thought I would tell you about my own post I just wrote on this same subject! I guess we Moms all feel that relentless pull of time.

I know the feeling, mine are 9, 13 and 17 and growing much too fast. My boy shaves but I don’t think he needs to. As for jokes about balls I wish that was the limit of his language. Where did my little babies go…
