Small Talk Six: I’m so Crafty!

Posted by: Lizzie

Today’s topic is “6 things you’ve made during your lifetime that you were proud of (can be a craft, a dish, . . . anything).” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .

I’m a crafty person, so I’ve made a lot of things in my lifetime.  Here are six of my favorites:

2. I made this little guy for a swap.

2. Out of all the longies I’ve ever knit, these are my favorite:
3. I made a scrapbook for a friend of mine to give her mom for Mother’s Day and I adore this page with all my heart:
4.  I can’t really make flowers, but I’m glad I can make my orchid NOT DIE:

5. I’m also really proud of this dress I knit:
6.  I make pretty cool humans, too:

I test knit this bad boy last week.  It was a quick, simple knit and I highly recommend it.

Infant Lap Tees: Inspiration

Posted by: Lizzie

I love cloth diapering.  It makes me feel all friendly toward the environment, plus there are some adorable diapers out there.  On top of that, I love the woolies I make for Timothy.  The big complaint I have right now, though, is that Timothy only has one or two t-shirts to wear with his cute shorties.  He’s already outgrown those teeny newborn kimono tops, and there are no tees to be found in Target (at a reasonable price).  What’s a girl to do?

My Big Plan is to buy a few blank lap tees from Dharma Trading Co.  I could just leave them blank, but what would be the fun in that?  Too bad I don’t know how to silk screen.  I do know how to do applique.  So I’ve been browsing etsy for some inspiration.

I’m behind on posting my Monthly Dishcloths.  Here are two that I finally blocked.  There are two more soaking right now and I’ll get those up soon.

I can’t stop knitting shorties for him.  So far, the ones on top fit him best.  He’s so tiny!
