You have no idea how happy I am about these blinds.  We still had the original vinyl mini-blinds that came with the house ten years ago and they were dirty, missing several slats, and the strings were rotting out on one of them, rendering them completely useless.

Jamie brought home these beautiful roll-up bamboo shades and I am so in love with them.  Our kitchen faces east, so in the Georgia summer it is HOT.  These shades darken our little dining area quite well.  I hope it cuts down on some of our energy costs, too.
