Land of Nod is having a sale on their Nod Chairs!

And I fell in love with this Penguin Backpack (that happens to be Phthalate-, PVC- and BPA-free).

This would be perfect for hanging up next to Corey’s bed. I just had to tell him the other day that he can’t sleep with a pile of books next to his pillow.

And if I had an unlimited amount of disposal income, this would be mine:
Here are two recent customs I knit for a trade. The yarn is Purewool merino in Haunted and Abir. The hats are my own design.
As I type this, my 2-year-old is feeding me Cheerios. I tried telling him that I was all done, but this is much too fun of a game for him to let it go that easily. Oh good, he’s moved on to force-feeding my Rainbow Brite doll, the object of his affection today. Aaaand now he’s back.
This may take a while to write.
You might notice that I didn’t do my Turtle Round-up today. I felt particularly uninspired this morning, having saved only one or two things that I wanted to include. So I’m taking a break this week.
I’ve been furiously knitting the past few weeks (pics below), mostly longies for trades. My next customs coming up are part of a Longies for Yarn Swap that I’m really excited about. I don’t know why I haven’t thought to get “paid” in yarn! The yarns I’m getting are going to be custom dyed in gender neutral colors so that I can stitch up some sets for the newest Grant baby.
The first two pairs are knit with yarn from Laines Magnifiques, and I’m still waiting on word from the customer as to the origins of the last pair’s yarn. While I liked the feel of the Laines Magnifiques, I had some pooling trouble and never could get things to line up like I would have preferred. I’m going to say that part of the “problem” might have been knitting a smaller-sized pair of longies.
Shopwise, my store may be down for a couple weeks. I’m low on funds and haven’t paid my fee yet this month. Terrible excuse, I know. But things have been slow and most of my proceeds have gone straight into my gas tank!
Pregnancywise, I feel pretty terrible 80% of the time. I have nausea much like I did with my first, which manifested itself in the evenings. Somehow I manage to bolster myself up for church and whenever social obligations require my attention, yet I can’t peel myself off the couch in order to vacuum the living room. Simon is a great housemate in this regard since he doesn’t mind snuggling with me while we watch terrible daytime television.
Well, it’s about that time of day when I have to convince Simon to put on underwear so we can walk down to the bus stop and meet the older guys coming home from school.
Let the circus begin!
It’s a good thing Simon is potty-learned. Cause I’d be keeping this soaker if he wasn’t! This would be the perfect soaker for some lucky boy…
I finally made the switch and
Lizzie Knits is now open at Hyenacart! Yippee!! That being said, I don’t have a whole lot to offer other than customs just yet.
HOWEVER!
I do have two pairs of longies that need to go so I can get back on track with some cute stuff I’ve been dreaming up.
Who can resist these?
