Taking a break from my busy day to blog & whatnot.

Tonight, I leave for choir retreat, so I’m doing laundry & getting everything packed. I washed all the Fuzzi Bunz & all the good-ish prefolds. We’ll only be gone until Sunday afternoon, but one can never be too prepared! I’m taking the MOE hanging pail to put in the room to eliminate any stink issues (I forgot to mention how thankful I’ve been to have the MOE pail. Ever since we got it a month or so ago, we haven’t had ANY stinky pail issues.).

Laundry, laundry, laundry. All of the clothes I want to wear this weekend were dirty, so I had to wash those. And all of Simon’s clothes that currently fit were dirty, too. So, those are now in the laundry lineup. He’s fitting into 6-9 month stuff now because he’s so long & the cloth diapers make for a strange fit in some pants.

I finally decided that I’m going to sell the fbs after I get back from retreat. I’ll give them a good stripping. What I can’t decide is whether or not to splurge on a couple fitteds. If Simon’s in fbs all day, he gets a minor rash, so I’m leaning toward something not fleece. Depending on how much I can get for the fbs, I’ll go ahead and get some new unbleached prefolds from NFB (I LOVE MY DISCOUNT), and maybe try an organic fitted. Hmmm.

So here’s a picture of me & Simon at the Fall Festival on Wednesday. I wish you could see the whole carrier! It has a jack-o-lantern panel. If I can remember, I’m going to make a couple different panels for this weekend. The hat was really easy to make. I still have a pattern for six different costumes, and one of them was a pumpkin. It only took me about an hour to make it. Unfortunately, Simon has a small head and even the small size was too big and it kept falling over his eyes. I need to remember to slip some elastic in the band before we go trick-or-treating next week.

I finished my apron yesterday, too! It’s so cute. I made it in the same style as Elaina’s, using yellow gingham. It’s so cheerful! Now I feel like a true Suzy Q when I do the dishes and cook up dinner. Speaking of: I have a pork roast to put in the oven.

TOODLES!
