Thankful & A Thousand Words Thursday
Posted by: LizzieOur lives are in transition right now. As I type this, Jamie is on his way to an interview for a teaching job over an hour away. No, we aren’t moving, but because of hiring freezes in the area, he’s having to apply for jobs within a designated 80-mile radius. It’s logistics, logistics. He’s working on his master’s in teaching and since he can’t do an internship without quitting his job, there are limits on the jobs he can apply for.
We are so, so thankful for his current job, though. It’s been a long, hard road for him and for the family he works for. I know they’ll be sad to see him leave, but he’s ready to move on. We need stability. I need him to be home every evening, Saturdays, and it would be lovely to have summers off, too.
So, keep your fingers crossed that he can find a job soon. He grows weary of all the interviews and rejections. We need a break.
