these are the days of our lives
Posted by: LizzieI can’t remember the last time I picked up my knitting needles. Wait. I think it was on the airplane home from San Diego in January. After I finished a pair of fingerless gloves, I put aside my stash and haven’t looked back.
Alas, I miss my crafting. Trouble is that Timothy requires about 99% of my attention when we’re at home and I can hardly sit still for a minute. If I do sit still, he’s right up in my business asking to nurse. This week I’m giving in because he’s sick with a returning ear infection. He busted out with a nearly 104° fever yesterday so we had to get him to the doctor ASAP. I’m so glad we have family close by to catch the older guys when they get off the bus. I shuttled Timothy over to Jamie’s school so Jamie could take Timothy to the doctor and I went to Curves to teach.
Never a dull moment:
After Curves I hustled over to the Y to take a class from another instructor and then do some yoga (gotta stretch out those tight muscles!). So there I am shaking my junk when I notice Corey and Aiden’s kindergarten teacher behind me with a couple other faculty and the principal! Turns out one of them has been coming to Zumba on the days when I’ve done a couple songs in someone else’s class.
I honestly didn’t know what else to think other than “Oh my goodness I’m shaking my ass in front of the principal. THE PRINCIPAL! Oh no! I just thought the word ‘ass’! In front of the principal!”
My mind kind of went like that the entire class but it didn’t stop me from having a good time. There were at least 70 people in that hot, sweaty room and I can only hope that I have a class that full one day. The most I have had in my own class downtown is 12. Granted, it’s a new class, but still. I want a full house!
