TMI Thursday? Tucks

Alright y’all. I’m about to get real personal here. But it’s my blog, so I can write about what I want, right?
Pregnancy does a number on a woman’s body. I’ve experienced just about every “side effect” that a pregnant woman can experience. From stretch marks to PUPPPS, and heartburn to gestational diabetes, I feel like I won the pregnant woman’s lottery. Add a glorious case of hemorrhoids and that just about did me in.
As a note, the hemorrhoids were mostly my fault. I went a little crazy with the castor oil and had the worst case of piles ever. Even after Timothy was born, when my bowels were as unpredictable as Timothy’s sleeping habits, I flared up at least every other week. And this is on top of the other discomforts I felt in my lady parts.
Oh how I wish I had some Tucks to use during those “special” times in my life. Momcentral sent me a sample of the Tucks Take Alongs and I am so, so grateful. Thankfully, I’m not having any problems with pain, but breastfeeding causes another wonder of nature called Vaginal Dryness. Isn’t that great?! The Tucks that they sent are so helpful after I’ve been swimming and get a case of what my husband lovingly calls The Critch.
Tucks Take Alongs are individually wrapped towelettes medicated with Witch Hazel. The immediate relief I feel after using them is secondary to squirting my nether regions with my peri bottle, which I obviously can’t do when I’m in public. It doesn’t say on the package, but if the regular medicated pads are flushable, I assume the Take Alongs are, too. Cause who wants to put a wipe in the garbage after wiping their heiny with it?
Ladies, go get yourself a box of these. You won’t regret it.
