What do you do with your photos?

Posted by: Lizzie

I’m going to take time out from our regularly-scheduled programming and talk about pictures for a moment.

My first question is for the “traditional” picture-takers out there:

What do you do with your pictures?

If you’re anything like me, I let my photos sit in their film canisters for upwards of a year or more and then when I finally get them developed, they tend to stay in the envelopes from my film-developing place for another year.

So I say to myself and my fellow lazy readers: STOP IT!

I’ve taken the first step in organizing my pictures and started using the Power Sort System. I have a couple of these Mini Boxes that I use for when I’m going to be out at my sister’s house for Scrapbooking Day/Playday. I mean really, the first step to getting any photos into albums is organization, right?

And for those of you who have been filling giant plastic tubs with photos, there’s the bigger Power Sort Box that holds up to 2,400 5×7 photos.

On to digital photos:

What do you do with your pictures?

If you’re like me, again, your photos sit on your computer for years and you rarely print them out or do anything with them other than email or post them on your blogs.

Right?

Well, STOP IT!

Print those photos! You can upload them to the Creative Memories Photo Center and have them printed for less than $.20 per print! Or you can download the free Storybook Creator Software and create your own keepsake album. I’m making one right now for Simon’s first year.

Summary: organization is the first step! Do something with your photos. :)
