I live in rural west virginia and have many relatives in need. There are some who are out of work and, because they dont have school age children, cant receive cash assistance. I’ve organized fundraisers to help cover their mortgage, power, water, and phone. The food allowance they receive doesn’t provide them with enough monthly, so we all give to support them. I know there are many kids in the area who go hungry…would like to be able to do more.

Our family has sponsored a child in another country. I think this helps provide our children with much-needed perspective!
