Woah! Knitting Progress!

This is my second attempt at a pair of alpaca socks. Remember my first one? Oh, I was so embarrassed. With this pair, I chose an actual, real, sock pattern that I’ve used before. I’m really looking forward to snuggling these up on a cold winter day. Not that we get many of those in Georgia, but when one come, you can rest assured I’ll be sporting these babies!
I don’t expect you to be able to tell what this is. I don’t even know what it is, except that it is a hat. Since I’m on a charity knitting kick, and I was in the mood for a challenge, I stumbled across The Great Hat Race on Ravelry. I’m late in the game, since this hat is Round 9. It looks interesting, though, right? I’m knitting it with Lamb’s Pride Worsted. Is this the Pine Shadow’s colorway? I seem to have lost the ball band. Ugh.
