Our family loves yogurt.  A LOT.  One of these days, I’m going to learn how to make it, but until then, we get by on store-bought yogurts.  My favorite brand is Yoplait, so when I had the chance to sign up to try a Summer Cool Down gift bag, I jumped at it!

As soon as we got these, Simon would not shut up about making popsicles! I had to explain to him that we needed to get the yogurt from the store, then wait for them to freeze before we could eat them. He’s three, in case you forgot, so patience is not in his skill set.  Even on the day I brought the yogurt home from the store, he freaked out: “WE GET TO MAKE POP-I-SKULLS TODAYYYYYYYY!!!!”

I will say that when they were in the freezer, he was very patient and only asked me if they were ready about 50 times.  I was expecting him to ask at least 2000 times.

Making the Yoplait Whips into popsicles was easy and fun.  Simon enjoyed helping.  Not as much as he enjoyed actually eating the popsicles, of course.  We made Strawberry-Vanilla Popsicles with the molds (it has a removable silicone middle so you can do two flavors).  Here are some of the other flavors available: Strawberry Mist, Chocolate, Key Lime Pie, Orange Crème, Chocolate Raspberry, Lemon Burst, Peaches ‘N Cream, Raspberry Mousse, and Vanilla Creme.

Even if you don’t have popsicle molds, you can make Yoplait Whips into frozen treats by just sticking the containers in the freezer.  How’s that for a guilt-free dessert?  I’m an ice cream junkie, so these will make a healthier option on those days when I’m tempted to sneak spoonfuls of cookie dough out of the freezer.
