Your baby is as big as a huh?

Posted by: Lizzie

I received my weekly update from Babycenter about the progress of my growing fetus and was baffled by the size comparison:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage)…

Wait. What? I don’t think I’ve ever SEEN a Chinese cabbage. Let me google that for you:

Yummy.
Since I guess it’s easier for us pregnant women to accurately gauge the size of our growing fetus by comparing it to fruits and vegetables, I’ve started a visual timeline for you, starting with week four. I hope this helps!
Four Weeks–your baby will most likely get stuck in your teeth if you put it on a bagel:

Five Weeks–your baby goes well with stir-fry and on hamburger buns:

Six Weeks–Yum! Your baby, would make a delicious soup!

Tune in next time when your baby graduates to berries!

LOL – I used to get those too when pregnant with my first child! I would hang on every word & delight as my child grew to the size of a plum, then a fuzzy peach, etc.

LOL Great post. I started those things well after I was 15 weeks.
